About Fred

Some see the glass is half-empty in life. I like think the glass is always half-full. Taking every moment and seeking out the opportunities drive many people, and that can describe me. I like to "shake the tree" a little to see what falls down. Change is inevitable, so why fight it. We can always do things better and hindsight is always 20/20.

I've done a lot in my short time on this earth, but I have plans–big plans. Plans to leave every organization I work for better than when I came to it. To make places a more positive place than a negative one. Some say it is all about attitude, persona, and appearance. That only gets you so far. You have to walk the talk. If you can't, time to change your tune or taking dancing lessons.

FrederickFaulkner.com is where you can get a quick snap shot about me. Make your first impression from reading some of the articles from my column or take a look at my blogs. Maybe you've heard of me and want to check out the resume. That's great, I hope we can work together on a project someday. If you want to chat, drop me a line and let's get in touch.

The "Official" Version

Frederick L. Faulkner IV is the Webmaster for the American Bar Association. A graduate of Bradley University in Marketing, Fred saw the value of the Internet and how it would impact businesses early on. Today Fred focuses on the convergence of business and marketing strategies and how the Internet has become a major medium to execute them. With background everywhere from building Web sites to product development, Fred likes to look at the "big picture." As the Webmaster at the ABA Fred is responsible for working with the entire organization on how to best use the Internet, emerging technologies, and align them to the Association's over-arching goals and strategic plan.

Fred writes a regular column at LLRX.com entitled Faulkner's Web Strategies for Legal Professionals. This column covers Web related topics focusing on strategies for solo and small firm lawyers, though in reality the topics are universal in many regards. Fred also covers "big picture" topics on his Web site, From the 21st Floor (www.fromthe21stfloor.com). Finally, Fred occasionally speaks to organizations and groups about the Web and how they can leverage and integrate it into their business strategies.
